Are your photographers experienced with surprise proposals?
Yes, our photographers are experienced with surprise proposals, discreet positioning, timing and capturing genuine reactions without giving anything away.
Can I see a photographer's portfolio before booking?
Yes, you can see our portfolio on each destination page. Our local photographers are trusted and hand-picked by our team.
How do I connect with my photographer?
We set up a chat, usually on WhatsApp or another method that works for you, so you can talk through all the details and style directly with them.
Can we book just a couple's photoshoot?
Yes, of course. We have dedicated packages for couple photoshoots. Reach out and we’ll tell you more.
Can I choose the photography style for my proposal?
Yes, you can share the photography style and overall look you prefer before the proposal, whether that’s candid and documentary-style, softer and romantic, or more posed portraits after the surprise. We’ll pass these preferences directly to your photographer so they know what to aim for on the day.
Will there be one photographer or more than one?
Most proposals are covered by one photographer, which is enough for the vast majority of setups. For larger events, group proposals, or if you specifically want additional angles covered, a second photographer can be arranged. Just mention this when you reach out so we can plan for it.
Do you require a deposit to book?
It depends on the service and package. Some packages are purchased in full directly through the booking form on that package’s page, while others may require a deposit to secure your date. You’ll see exactly which applies when you view the package you’re interested in.
What happens after I book and pay?
Once you’ve booked and made the required payment, we confirm your date, lock in the vendors involved, and finalize the details of your plan. You’ll also be connected with your photographer directly so you can discuss style and preferences ahead of the day.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend around half a year ahead, though we’re also open to spontaneous and last-minute proposals. Just keep in mind that availability can be more limited on short notice.
Why haven't I heard back after requesting to book?
We typically respond within 24 hours. If you haven’t heard from us by then, check your spam folder or send us a message directly on WhatsApp for a faster reply.
Can I add extra time to my photoshoot?
Yes, of course. Just continue your session and we’ll send an invoice afterward for the extra time.
Can I gift a proposal to someone else?
Yes, we offer proposals as a gift, whether you’re planning it for a friend or family member’s engagement. Reach out and let us know who it’s for and what you have in mind, and we’ll handle the coordination from there.
Can I bring family or friends to the proposal?
Yes, of course. When booking a package, you can select how many people will be present. Just add more than two if you’d like loved ones there too.
How soon after the proposal do I get my photos?
Quickly, we share a first sneak peek within the next few days, with the rest of your selection following shortly after.
Can I keep my proposal photos private?
Yes, that’s completely your right. Just let us know beforehand. By default we may feature client photos in our portfolio, so this is something to flag in advance if you’d rather keep yours private.
How many edited photos will I receive?
The number depends on your package and how long your session runs. Shorter photo-only sessions typically deliver a smaller curated set, while longer packages with more coverage time result in a larger gallery. You’ll see the expected range for your specific package when you book.
Are the photos professionally edited?
Yes, every photo you receive is professionally edited before delivery. This includes color correction, exposure and lighting adjustments, and light retouching where needed. The goal is a polished, consistent gallery that still looks natural, not over-processed.
How will I receive my proposal photos?
Your photos are delivered through an online gallery, so you can view, download and share them digitally as soon as they’re ready. You’ll receive a first sneak peek within the next few days, with your full gallery following afterward.
Can I print and share my proposal photos?
Yes, once you receive your gallery link by email, they’re yours to keep, print and share for personal use, including on social media, with family or in a photo book. If you’d like to use them for something outside personal use, such as a commercial project, just check with us first so we can make sure that’s set up properly.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If weather makes an outdoor proposal unsafe, we do our best to reschedule to another time or day at no extra cost. If that’s not possible, an additional fee may apply.
Can I reschedule if my own plans change?
Rescheduling 14 or more days before your date is free, subject to vendor availability for the new date. Rescheduling 7-14 days before may involve a fee or the loss of any non-refundable vendor costs already committed. Rescheduling within 7 days is subject to availability and may involve additional costs.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 14 or more days before your date receive a 90% refund of the amount already paid. Cancellations made 7-14 days before receive a 50% refund of the amount already paid. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Non-refundable costs already committed to third-party vendors may be excluded from any refund. Rescheduling is available as an alternative to cancelling, subject to the rescheduling terms above.
Can I change the location once I've booked?
Yes, subject to availability. Additional fees may apply for a location change, and these can be paid online according to a new invoice.
Can I choose a different city for my proposal?
Yes, that’s possible, depending on availability in the city you have in mind. Reach out and let us know your preferred city, and we’ll check what’s available.
What is a travel fee, and why is it charged?
Locations within our standard package areas have no additional travel fee. For locations outside those areas, a travel fee may apply to cover the extra time and distance involved. This will be confirmed with you before booking.
Which other proposal destinations do you have?
We plan proposals across Europe and beyond, from Amsterdam, including Paris, Italy (Venice and Rome), and other cities, as well as parts of Asia like Thailand (Phuket and Koh Samui). More destinations are being added.
Can you help me choose the best place to propose within a city?
Yes, choosing the right spot is part of the planning process. We help you compare locations based on the atmosphere you want, how well it photographs, how private or public it feels, and how easy it is to reach, so you’re not left guessing between a dozen options on your own.
Can I request a specific proposal location?
Yes, if you already have somewhere in mind, tell us and we’ll check its availability, access, and anything else that might affect the plan. If it turns out not to be practical for what you’re picturing, we’ll suggest a nearby alternative that keeps the same feel.
Do I need a permit to propose in a public location?
It depends on the location. Some public spots are open to anyone and don’t require permission, while others require advance booking or a permit, especially for larger setups with decorations or a photographer present. We’ll flag this for you as part of planning, so it’s one less thing you need to research yourself.
What time of day is best for a proposal?
It depends on the destination and the mood you’re going for. Golden hour, just before sunset, tends to give the most flattering light and a naturally romantic feel, while early mornings offer quiet, empty locations if privacy matters more to you than lighting. We’ll help you find the right balance for your specific spot.
Can we take photos at more than one location?
It’s possible, depending on how much time your package includes and how close the locations are to each other. If you’re picturing a multi-stop proposal, mention it when you book so we can plan the timing and see if extra time needs to be added.
How does the proposal planning process work?
You can reach out by clicking “Book Now” on the site to open a contact form. Or use the WhatsApp pop-up button, the easiest way to get in touch. We’ll follow up and, if it helps, jump on a call to go over the details together. From there, we help you settle on the right package, along with timing and vendors. Once you’re ready, you can book your chosen package directly through the website’s booking form. Each package has its own.
Am I talking to a call center, or an actual planner?
You’re in direct contact with your proposal planner from your first message through to the final confirmation. You’ll be speaking with real people, not a call center or a rotating list of contacts. If it helps, we’re also happy to jump on a real call to talk through the details.
Is every proposal secret?
Mostly yes, though it depends on each couple’s preference. Some want the moment to be a complete surprise, while others prefer to plan it more openly with their partner involved in some of the details.
Do you provide last-minute support?
Yes, we’re available before the day for last-minute questions, during for anything that needs adjusting on the spot, and after to make sure everything, not just the photos, comes together as promised. We always have a backup plan in place too.
Can you organize other events too?
Yes, of course. Reach out and we’ll talk through what’s possible, whether it’s a bachelorette party, baby shower, family shoot or something else.
Can I book you for my wedding too?
Yes, of course. We also offer wedding services, and we’re happy to give you a special discount on your next booking. Reach out through the booking form or WhatsApp to get started.
Do you work with international couples, or couples who don't speak English?
Yes, we regularly work with couples from around the world, including India, China, Taiwan, the USA, the UK and Indonesia, among many others. Planning can be handled remotely regardless of where you’re based, and our team speaks English, Dutch, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Russian and Ukrainian, so language is rarely a barrier.
